We enable consumers to make great deals, but also to get very honest customer feedback about products which might not be as great as the manufacturer tells you. We all want to escape from the marketing messages and ads that surround us, and get insight from other people about hot deals and products. This is our purpose as a company. We want consumers to be influenced by expert opinions and not by marketing messages


Globally, over 300 people work daily to make all of this a reality. Our headquarters are in Berlin, but we have people working in over 12 countries. We already had over 100 people working fully remotely before everyone was forced to, but we also believe in working from offices if that fits better your expectation.


We are not your classical startup, as we actually do not have outside funding. This doesn't mean that we aren't ambitious, quite the contrary, but we aim to succeed long-term, fulfilling our vision and not chasing meaningless KPIs for the next funding round.



Tell us about yourself:

We are looking for an enthusiastic VP/Head of People and Culture to help us build a great people organisation and drive our strategy to continue being an exceptional employer going forward.

In your role, you will be leading our international People and Culture team, currently consisting of a Business Partner, Administration, Talent Acquisition, and Office Operations team. You will report directly to the CEO, owning the process of building a modern, hybrid-first work environment.

  • Be one of the key ambassadors and representatives of our company culture, vision and values, strengthening and reinforcing our culture in collaboration with the People team
  • Own, shape, and ensure the effective execution of the People & Culture vision and strategy together with the management team
  • Enable us to reach our goals of team growth and development, always promoting diversity and inclusion
  • Set up and develop a data-driven approach for the People and Culture department
  • Build trust with your colleagues and the leadership teams to become a strategic sparring partner, providing regular insights and advice on people management, performance, and development
  • Develop and enrich our current career path and personal development processes 
  • Be responsible for our Offices and ensure that they are effective workplaces
  • Support your team in optimising our People’s processes throughout the entire employee lifecycle
  • Understand, develop, and implement the compensation and benefits package across the organisation
  • Implement relevant measures to increase effectiveness within performance management
  • Develop international HR policies, procedures, and guidelines



These skills will make you successful in your role:

  • You have minimum 5 years of experience as a HR professional, preferably in the start-up environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • You are proactive, can lead change with arguments and data
  • You have an entrepreneurial approach: Done is better than perfect
  • You have already seen a larger organisation and understand how the processes should look like
  • You help and enable your team to grow inside of the People department, but also in the wider organisation
  • You are a leader that is inspirational but rational, honest but welcoming, and strategic but willing to get your hands dirty
  • You have strong interpersonal skills
  • You are an empathetic listener and leader 
  • You are fluent in English (German would also be quite helpful)
  • You have already worked in a remote environment (a plus, but definitely not a must)
